Hello! I am currently a sophomore in high school. I enjoy art, coding, and spending time with friends. Being a part of Bobtutor has allowed me to build connections with people from across the world, as well as develop communication and teamwork skills. From my time in this program, I've been able to witness a great deal of growth from both tutors and students who learn from one another, gaining perspective and stepping out of their comfort zones in the process. I also lead Bobtutor's English branch, and I look forward to working with and meeting new people!

My name is Richard Bai, a sophomore in high school. BOBTutor has given me so many beautiful experiences in helping and working with others. The work, no matter how difficult, is always rewarding because I know it will always lead to a result that is beneficial to others. My dream is to build timeless memories by leaving an influence in society, and BOBTutor is the first step to fulfilling that dream through influencing one person at a time. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing piano, and swimming.

Hi! My name is Timothy Gao and I am a Sophomore at Amador Valley High School. As the VP of Bobtutor and Coding Branch Leader, I aim to make the fascinating field of computer science accessible to anyone anywhere. My goal is that through providing as many people as possible the opportunity to learn coding, I can both spark their interest and prepare them for their future in a technology-dominated society. Through interacting with students and tutors of different backgrounds, my perspective on the world was also expanded, and Bobtutor challenged many presumptions I had about people. In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, programming, and playing soccer.

Emily Yang: Music Team Leader
Hello everyone! My name is Emily Yang, and I am a junior in high school. I am the current leader and founder of the music branch, and some hobbies that I have are playing and listening to music, bullet journaling, editing videos, eating and making food, and spending time with my friends. Through BOBTutor, I hope to provide everyone the opportunity to learn things like music, English, or math without having to worry about affording the classes. I also hope to plant a seed of passion for learning new things in young children and helping them love the subject they're exploring.

Hello everyone, my name is Thomas Zhu, a freshman at Foothill High School, and I am the treasurer. As treasurer, I hope to help Bobtutor manage its finances to expand. Outside of school and BobTutor, I enjoy playing chess, playing games, playing piano, and hanging out with friends. I am a coding tutor as well, and I hope to get people interested in it. My goal is to make the organization bigger and better by finding more tutors, students, and collaborators. Hello! I'm Sophia Yu, a sophomore in high school. On the weekends, I enjoy baking, skateboarding/roller skating, playing the piano, and playing tennis in my free time. As a tutor, my goals are to always be punctual, organized, and as effective as possible in providing academic assistance. Hi! My name is Erica Lin and I am the team leader for the L1 group in the Bobtutor English Team. I am actively teaching students in Thailand and in South Africa. My experience in tutoring students in L1 allows me to help out other tutors that teach in the L1 group. I am always available to help out with any questions in tutoring, lesson plans or the L1 curriculum. In school, I am a sophomore and I enjoy participating in school events. I am currently studying Spanish and I am fluent in English and Mandarin. In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and learning guitar.

Greetings! My name is Joel Leong, and I am the leader of the L3 English group. I’m currently teaching a student in South Africa on Saturdays. As an introvert, being a part of the Bobtutor -tutoring students, and having meetings- has helped me improve my social skills and become more responsible. Furthermore, I have learned lots of necessary skills from Bobtutor that I will be able to utilize in the future, such as being a leader and a good team player. At the moment, I am a sophomore in high school and a member of a few clubs. During my free time, I enjoy learning new skills or tricks, playing soccer, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with my friends, whether it be virtually through video games or in person.

Hi! My name is Alan Fang, and I'm the China Team lead for the BOBTutor English team. I'm currently a freshman in high school, and I’ve tutored two boys from China for almost a year. In my free time, I play alto saxophone, listen to music (Jazz) and play Squash. In school, I’m currently studying Chinese and Spanish, and I’m fluent in English. I’m also in the Physics and Robotics Club at school. I really enjoy tutoring and I’m excited to get to know more people in the BOB community!

Jason Wu: Program Leader of Pretoria Tutoring Program
Hey! My name is Jason Wu, and I am currently in the 10th grade, and the Program Leader for Pretoria Tutoring. I have taught students in Thailand, Myanmar, and Pretoria. It’s really a tremendous feat of what Bobtutor has become ever since I joined last year in July. I’m grateful for having these experiences in tutoring as I have learned how to better communicate with my peers as a leader, and with my students which I can take into the future. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, chatting with my friends online or face-to-face, and reading.
