Charles Jin: Senior Advisor

Hi! I'm the founder and senior advisor of Bobtutor and have recruited many high school students to become tutors and grow the organization. I enjoy coding, like to develop apps and video games, and research AI. I hope to help connect and improve communities around the world through technology.

April Gong: Senior Advisor

Hello! I am currently a senior in high school and this year, I am serving as the senior advisor of Bobtutor. I enjoy art, coding, and spending time with friends. Being a part of Bobtutor has allowed me to build connections with people from across the world, as well as develop communication and teamwork skills. From my time in this program, I've been able to witness a great deal of growth from both tutors and students who learn from one another, gaining perspective and stepping out of their comfort zones in the process. I look forward to working with and meeting new people!

Richard Bai: Senior Advisor

Hi! I am a senior in high school. BOBTutor has given me so many beautiful experiences in helping and working with others. The work, no matter how difficult, is always rewarding because I know it will always lead to a result that is beneficial to others. My dream is to create meaningful memories through community engagement, and BOBTutor is the first step to fulfilling that dream through influencing one person at a time. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing piano, and swimming.

Alan Fang: Co-President

Hi! I'm Alan Fang, and I'm one of the Co-Presidents this year. I'm currently a junior in high school and enjoy playing jazz saxophone and Squash. My favorite part about BOBTutor is working with students and collaborating with tutors to make learning fun and engaging! This year, I'm looking forward to expanding the outreach of BOBTutor and developing connections with more tutors and students!

Jeff Yang: Co-President

Hello, my name is Jeff Yang, a junior in Amador Valley High School. This year I am serving as the Co-President of Bobtutor. Outside of school I enjoy cooking, playing games, and spending time with friends. This year I am hoping to connect with all of the leaders within Bobtutor and help them achieve success. My goal is to make sure everyone feels like they belong in the organization and they could find passion and fulfillment while teaching their students. Alyssa Ma: Vice-President of English

Hi! I'm Alyssa Ma and I'm the VP of the English team. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my youth group, watching TV shows, and doing anything outdoors (particularly hiking and swimming!). This year, I'm looking forward to accomplishing our goals in the English branch and building relationships with tutors, directors, and parent advisors. Jason Jiang: Vice President of Math & Science

Hello, my name is Jason. I am currently a senior in high school. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, coding, and helping others. I have been working with the Bobtutor math team for about two years, starting as a math tutor and then as a director of the South Africa program. Interacting and teaching others is a great passion of mine. Bobtutor has helped me craft a greater understanding in the art of communication. Through Bobtutor, I hope to share my experiences and make a positive difference.

Nicholas Tang: Vice President of Coding

Hi! My name is Nicholas, and I’m the VP of the Coding Team. In my free time, I enjoy drumming, coding, and learning! Through BOBTutor, I hope to be able to develop and improve my leadership skills, while also providing excellent programs and opportunities for both tutors and students. Kathryn Go: Vice President of Music & Art

Hi! My name is Kathryn Go, and I'm a current high school junior. Some of my hobbies include flute, soccer and listening to music! As the VP of the Music and Arts Branch, I'm more than excited to see tutors with different musical/artistic backgrounds come together and help out students with similar interests! 

Madeleine Yuan: Secretary/Treasurer

Hi! I’m Madeleine- this year’s secretary. I’m currently a sophomore and enjoy English and history classes. Outside of school, I enjoy journaling, practicing the flute, and preparing for debate tournaments. Currently, I am learning Mandarin in addition to my prior knowledge of English. I’m excited to get to know everyone better this year!

Sophia Yu: Data Management

Hello, my name is Sophia Yu and I'm the data management officer for BOBTutor. My favorite hobbies include painting, skating, playing tennis, playing piano, and exploring new recipes while cooking. My goal as a tutor is to become adept at teaching in a manner that encourages my students to try their best in class.

Cathy Gao: Marketing Officer

Hello everyone! It's Cathy here. Awesomely enough, I am the marketing officer this year. I'm a 10th grader at Amador Valley High School, and I really enjoy art (shocking). I look forward to bringing my own spice to the flyers we are putting out this year. Modern. Fresh. Retro. Exciting. That's the vibe I will be trying to capture through the material that I put out this year. Super excited to do some good stuff for BOBtutor this year!
